Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How much can I expect to pay for a complete new kitchen?
At Project Kitchens, we are proud to offer very competitive pricing on our European made flat-pack kitchens. You can walk away with a very nice looking, modern kitchen for as low as $5,000 (including cabinets, benchtop, sinks, handles and accessories). The premium nature of this product means you are saving up to 40% when compared with other New Zealand custom made kitchens of similar quality and style.
  2. How does your pricing work?
Our prices go up or down depending on currency rates, which is why we encourage our customers to lock their order in when the exchange rate is good. See our latest catalogue for up-to-date pricing on all of our kitchen ranges.
  3. What’s so great about European made anyway?
With European made products, it’s all about the finishing touches and impressive style. There is also generally slightly higher quality with European-made products when compared with products made in Asia for example, which is the case for our Project Kitchens flat-pack kitchens.
  4. Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes. We can ship anywhere in New Zealand (fees apply) or you can pick up from our warehouse.
  5. Can I arrange for you to come out to plan/design the kitchen in my home?
As a way of keeping costs down for you, we embrace the Kiwi DIY way of letting you do the planning – giving you total control and the ability to save money. We do not come out to your home, but we have specialised kitchen sales consultants at all our showrooms who will go through the planning process with you using our advanced 3D kitchen design app.
  6. Do you offer returns on product items?
It is important to note, we do not accept returns on products if the customer has ordered them incorrectly. For example, if the cabinets don’t fit or if the style or colour choice is not what you thought it was. We are unable to accept returns under any circumstances except through a genuine product fault.
  7. Do you offer kitchen installation services?
We can point you in the direction of professional, independent, kitchen installers. We do not offer install services directly. We encourage you to go the DIY route if possible for the most cost-effective option. However, if you would rather play it safe and have all of your cabinets, benchtop and even your whiteware professionally installed, you can. Just mention this to our team, for a list of professional independent installers, when ordering your new kitchen.
  8. Who checks-off the final kitchen purchase and measurements?
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to check all items, measurements and styles before approving the order. We suggest the person installing the kitchen, if different to the purchaser, double-check all details before final purchase. Approval is given by the purchaser via an electronic signature. Our sales consultants can guide you through the process, but do not have the authority to sign off purchases and measurements. Orders cannot be placed unless payment is received and approval given.
